Pointsgiving, hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Point Pleasant, is a community-wide afternoon of hands-on service, collections, and learning about local nonprofits that make a difference at the Jersey Shore. A Need We Feed (ANWF) is proud to participate again this year to support our weekly meal deliveries for veterans, homebound seniors, families, and neighbors experiencing homelessness across Ocean County.

Note: Some media coverage listed us at the wrong station. You’ll find A Need We Feed at Station 12.

Find A Need We Feed at Station 12

Stop by our table to learn how we prepare and deliver freshly packaged meals each week and how you can get involved. While you’re there, you can help in two simple ways:

1) Donate Snack-Sized Items

Please bring single-serve, non-perishable snacks that we can add to holiday meal bags and weekly deliveries:

  • Chips, crackers, cookies, Pop-Tarts, cereal (individual packs)
  • Fruit snacks and fruit cups
  • Granola bars, pudding cups

All items should be individually packaged and non-expired. If you’d prefer to give a monetary gift, volunteers at our table can accept donations to help fund prepared meals from local restaurants. Every $8 we raise covers one hot, restaurant-quality meal for a neighbor in need.

2) Create a Card for Veterans & Seniors

Pointsgiving is about hands-on kindness. Join us at Station 12 to color a picture or write a cheerful note that we’ll include with upcoming deliveries to local veterans and seniors. Your message of encouragement is a small touch that means a lot.

How to Donate Quickly

  • In the park: Bring your items to Station 12 – A Need We Feed.
  • Drive-up drop-off: Use the Beach Blvd./Susan Lane gate. Label your bag “Station 12 – A Need We Feed.” Volunteers at the gate will get it to our table.

What Else You’ll Find at Pointsgiving

Across 45 stations, you can:

  • Pack blessing bags and kids’ snack packs with Kiwanis
  • Donate food, clothing, toiletries, and household items to partners serving children, seniors, veterans, pets, and unhoused neighbors
  • Join kid-friendly activities such as card-making and book drives
  • Learn about local service clubs and nonprofits—and how to volunteer

(If weather turns bad, Kiwanis has an indoor backup site and will post updates on their social media. Find them on Facebook)

Why Your Help Matters

A Need We Feed coordinates volunteers to prepare, package, and deliver meals each week from our staging site at the Toms River Elks Lodge. Community drives like Pointsgiving stock the snacks and extras that stretch our budget and brighten delivery days. Your donation on November 1 helps us keep meals moving to:

  • Homebound seniors who can’t shop or cook reliably
  • Veterans throughout Ocean County
  • Families and individuals facing food insecurity or homelessness

Get Involved Beyond Pointsgiving

  • Volunteer: Ask our team at Station 12 about delivery routes, kitchen prep, and holiday programs.
  • Donate: Every $8 funds a hot meal sourced from a local restaurant.
  • Stay connected: Visit aneedwefeed.org to join our email list and see upcoming events.

We can’t wait to see you at Pointsgiving. Bring the family, bring a bag of snack-size items, and stop by Station 12 to say hello. Together, we’ll turn one afternoon of giving into thousands of meals and moments of kindness across Ocean County.
