Oh, what a day! A Need We Feed’s 2024 Summer BBQ was a resounding success, and we are filled with immense gratitude for the incredible support from our community. This special event ensured that all our clients received a delicious and nutritious Summer BBQ meal, prepared with love and care.
Improving Food Security for Hungry Ocean County Residents
Our clients enjoyed a meal that included freshly made pulled pork, corn on the cob, macaroni salad, rolls, fresh-cut watermelon, and iced tea. These were thoughtfully prepared by Ryan’s Catering and Deli, one of our valued restaurant partners. Ryan’s Catering went above and beyond by donating 50 of the 120 meals we needed. Additionally, Stop & Shop generously provided the watermelon and iced tea, adding a refreshing touch to our meal packages.
Community Effort and Dedication
We want to express our deep appreciation to our dedicated board members who joined us yesterday. Their efforts in organizing and packing the meals were invaluable, ensuring that everything was ready for delivery. A special shoutout goes to our weekly delivery drivers, whose dedication and commitment ensured that all the meals reached our clients’ homes safely and on time. Your hard work does not go unnoticed, and we are incredibly grateful for your unwavering support.
Special Guests and Heartfelt Donations
We were honored to have special guests Mr. Bill Winder, founder of The Bill & Ginger Winder Family Foundation, and his associate, Ms. Debbie Lorenz, join us for the event. Their presence was truly special as they presented a generous check that will enable us to continue our mission of providing meals to our community’s Veterans, seniors, families, and those experiencing homelessness. This substantial donation will make a significant impact on our efforts to combat food insecurity in Ocean County.

Grand 50/50 Raffle Tickets On Sale Now!
In addition to our Summer BBQ, we are excited to announce that our Grand 50/50 raffle tickets are currently on sale! This is a fantastic opportunity to support our cause while also having the chance to win big. Each ticket costs $50, and every ticket purchased helps us provide up to 5 meals for those in need throughout Ocean County, New Jersey. The raffle drawing will take place in January 2025, just in time to kick off the New Year with a win. So go ahead, shop till you drop, and get your gifts covered while supporting a great cause.
