At A Need We Feed our mission has always been simple: make sure no one in our community goes without a warm meal, especially during meaningful moments of the year. This spring, we are proud to share two initiatives that are bringing comfort, connection, and nourishment to those who need it most.
Easter is a time of renewal, hope, and togetherness. For many of our clients, however, holidays can be especially difficult. That’s why we are once again making sure they feel remembered and supported.
You’re invited to help us make the holiday extra sweet this year by donating to our Chocolate Bunny Drive!
From March 13-March 27, we’ll be collecting chocolate bunnies at the following locations:
- Quinn Hopping Funeral Home: Mule Road, Toms River, NJ
- Charlie’s Pizza: Route 37, Manchester, NJ
- Citizen’s Bank: Route 37, Toms River, NJ
This year we’re also incredibly grateful to the following organizations for helping make Easter special for local families in need:
- Ryan’s Catering will be preparing approximately 215 Easter meals, which will be delivered on April 1st.
- Mike’s Crumb Cake is generously donating sheets of their delicious crumb cake to add a special sweet touch to each meal.
- Coastal Jersey Parrot Head Club, who will be holding a chocolate bunny collection for us during their March Happy Hour.
As the collection date approaches, we’ll be sharing more details on our Facebook page for anyone who would like to participate.
Supporting Our Veterans: Meals for VetWork
We are also proud to announce that thanks to a generous grant from the Acme Foundation, A Need We Feed is now providing 25 meals each week to VetWork!
This initiative ensures that veterans facing food insecurity receive consistent, nutritious meals they can rely on.
This effort is made possible through the Acme Foundation’s MVP – Meals for Veterans Program, and we are honored to be a part of a program dedicated to serving those who have served our country.
